Kepware OPC Server. Version 5 now available

Kepware recently launched version 5 of the popular
and successful OPC Server, KEPserverEX.
The new server provides updates on some of the drivers
and an improved licensing structure.  Upgrades for ver.4
are available and if you add a driver to your existing ver.4
server, you can upgrade the existing server/driver to ver.5
free of charge.

SUCCESSFUL INDUSTRIAL IT PROJECT COMPLETED
AT BULK CONNECTIONS COAL TERMINAL IN DURBAN

We recently completed the Vessel Loading Monitoring
System at Bulk Connections (Coal Terminal) in Durban
Harbour.  The system monitors the individual lifting weights
on 2 Cranes via loadcells and PLC's installed on the cranes
These monitor which  hatch is being loaded & calculate & store
the nett weight of each drop into the vessel.  The PLC data
is radiolinked back to the control room from each crane where
the operators manage and view the operation via an InTouch
SCADA (Graphical operator interface).  Reports are provided
on the company network via live excel spreadsheets and
live website for remote access to the loading process.
